Rehabilitation Services offered

Physical Therapy:

Physical Therapists treat individuals who have medical conditions that limit their ability to move and perform activities of daily life.  Physical Therapists examine each individual and develop a treatment plan to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.  Depending on the needs of the patient, care may include exercises for mobility, strength and balance training and the use of physical agent modalities.

Occupational Therapy:

Occupational therapists strive to achieve the highest level of independence possible for patients with physical and mental disabilities.  They also provide the necessary tools for successfully performing self-care activities in a safe manner.  Occupational Therapists develop client centered treatment plans attending to daily living skills, strength and endurance tasks, sensory abilities, cognition, perceptual and avocational needs.  Home evaluations are also performed for those clients returning home to ensure optimal safety for their transition.

Speech Therapy:

Speech-Language Pathologists can assess, treat, and help prevent speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.  They work with people who are unable to make speech sounds or do not make them clearly.  They also have a variety of treatment techniques to address swallowing difficulties, as well a cognitve communication impairments.  These may include attention, memory and problem solving.
